Genuine Armor-lux Breton 100% Cotton T-Shirts

The Breton shirt was officially created by the 27th March 1858 Act which introduced this blue and white striped knitted shirt in the uniform list of the French seaman.

It was said that this stripe allowed a man fallen into the sea to be located more easily . Decades later, this shirt is no longer restricted to seamen, it has become more popular and extended to whoevere frequents the sea; fishermen, sailors or yachtsmen.

Initally, Breton shirts were made of 21 stripes representing the Napoleon victories. Nowadays, the number of stripes can vary according to the models
